BKB honors top Western Union remittance branches

A joint initiative of Bangladesh Krishi Bank and Western Union, an event titled “Outstanding Remittance Performer 2025” was held at the bank’s boardroom on September 17, 2025. Ten branches from different region of the bank were honored & awarded for their exceptional performance in providing Western Union remittance services in this ceremony. Additionally, special gifts were presented to officers involved in remittance activities. The Managing Director of Bangladesh Krishi Bank Sanchia Binte Ali presided over the event. Deputy Managing Directors Md. Abdur Rahim and Mohd. Khaleduzzaman, general managers of the head office, concerned deputy general managers and officials, along with Prem Sugunesh, head of business development for South Asia at Western Union, and other representatives from Western Union Bangladesh were also present on the occasion. Speakers expressed their hope that this initiative would further motivate the officers to enhance remittance collection and play a positive role in increasing foreign income for the country at the event, a press release said.
