Bengal Commercial Bank launches entrepreneur program with BB

Bengal Commercial Bank has inaugurated a month-long training program to enhance the skills and business strength of the entrepreneurs in the Micro, Cottage, Small and Medium Enterprises (CMSME).The Bank has started this training program as part of the ‘Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP)’, project of the Ministry of Finance, supervised by Bangladesh Bank and financed by Asian Development Bank (ADB), a press release said.

Md. Nazrul Islam, Director (CC) of Bangladesh Bank’s SME and Special Programmes Department (SMESPD), inaugurated the training program at the Bengal Commercial Bank Training Center in Dilkusha, Dhaka On September 22, 2025. Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, DMD & CTO of the Bank presided over the ceremony. Rafiq Ahmad, Head of Human Resources Department and JyotirmoyChakraborty, Head of SME of Bengal Commercial Bank were present at the event. Md. Ayub Ali, Joint Director and DPD of Bangladesh Bank’s SMESPD presented the Training Overview. This training program will assist in creating entrepreneurs and growing existing businesses to a larger scale. In addition, the trainees will also gain knowledge and skills in business planning, marketing, financing and other important business topics. Different sessions in the training will be conducted by the skilled and experienced trainers from Bangladesh Bank and Bengal Commercial Bank.
