World Heart Day will be observed on Monday, September 29, 2025. Universal Cardiac Hospital in Mohakhali, the capital, has organized a day-long “Free Heart Camp” on the occasion. The camp will run from 10 am to 8 pm on the hospital premises opposite Mohakhali Rawa.
The patients coming to the camp will be provided with free specialized medical advice by renowned cardiologists and surgeons of the country – Professor Dr. Nasir Uddin Ahmed (Chief Cardiac Surgeon); Professor Dr. Khandaker Kamrul Islam (Chief Clinical and Interventional Cardiologist); Professor Dr. Amal Kumar Chowdhury (Senior Clinical and Interventional Cardiologist); Brigadier General Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamruzzaman (Senior Cardiovascular Surgeon); Dr. Ashraful Haque Siam (Minimal Invasive Cardiac Surgeon); Dr. Sania Haque (Clinical and Interventional Cardiologist); Dr. MA Hasnat (Clinical and Interventional Cardiologist and Medicine Specialist); Dr. Romena Rahman (Cardiovascular Surgeon) and Dr. Abdul Jabbar Jiban (Pediatric Cardiologist).
On the same day, a similar “Free Heart Camp” is being held for locals at Universal Medical Services Limited located on Jail Road, Brahmanbaria. There, the patients will be advised by Dr. Md. Nazmul Haque (Cardiology and Medicine Specialist), Assistant Professor of Universal Medical College and Hospital.
