DHAKA : Dhaka Education Board has secured the top positions among nine general education boards with 64.62 percent pass rate in the HSC and equivalent examinations this year.
A total of 2,92,160 students appeared in the HSC exams under Dhaka Board this year.
Of them, 1,36,213 were male with 61.66 percent pass rate and 1,55,947 were female with 67.20 percent pass rate. A total of 1,88,783 examinees passed in the exam under Dhaka Board.
Cumilla Education Board recorded the lowest pass rate at 48.86 percent. The average pass rate in the HSC examinations across the nine general education boards is 57.12 percent.
A total of 10,47,242 candidates sat for the HSC examinations under the nine boards this year, with 5,98,166 students successfully passing.
