The Freshers’ Orientation for Fall 2025 Semester was held on 26 October 2025 at the permanent campus of Eastern University in Dhaka. The program warmly welcomed the newly admitted students to the Eastern University family.
The event was presided over by Professor Dr. Farid Ahmad Sobhani, Vice-Chancellor of Eastern University. Professor Dr. A. S. M. Amanullah, Vice-Chancellor of National University, attended the event as the Chief Guest. Professor Dr. ABM Shahidul Islam and Mr. Mohammad Ali Azzam, Members of the Board of Trustees, Eastern University, were present as Special Guests.
In their speeches, the guests encouraged students to become attentive, ethical, and professionally skilled citizens. They also highlighted the importance of higher education in building leadership and contributing to national development.
Among others, Professor Md. Shamsul Huda, Treasurer of Eastern University; Dr. Abul Basher Khan, Registrar; Professor Dr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology; Professor Dr. M. Sayedur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration; and Assistant Professor Md. Rofiusssan, Chairperson of the Department of English, also addressed the program. They expressed gratitude to all guests, teachers, officials, and students and extended best wishes for the new students’ academic journey.
The orientation program introduced the freshers to the university’s academic structure, various student services, club activities, and vibrant campus life. The event concluded with a colorful cultural performance presented by the students of Eastern University.
