Mastercard Bangladesh has been awarded the “Most Innovative Fintech Product Design of the year” for introducing global first biometric metal card- an exclusive World Elite card in partnership with Eastern Bank PLC. The recognition was announced at the Third Fintech Awards ceremony, held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka, organized by Bangladesh Brand Forum and an initiative of Bangladesh Fintech Forum. Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur, Governor of Bangladesh Bank, handed the award to Syed Mohammad Kamal, Country Manager, Bangladesh, Mastercard; M. Khorshed Anowar, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Retail and SME Banking, Eastern Bank PLC; Jubaer Hossain, Lead, Merchant & Commerce, Bangladesh, Mastercard, and Tasnim Hussain, Head of Cards and Executive Vice President, Eastern Bank PLC, a press release said.
