Army Chief urges cadets to serve the country with dedication

JOYPURHAT : Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman yesterday urged the incumbent and former cadets of Joypurhat Girls Cadet College to serve the country with utmost dedication.

He made the call while addressing, as the chief guest, a function arranged on second day of three-day first reunion of Joypurhat Girls Cadet College here, said an ISPR press release.
On the arrival at Joypurhat Girls Cadet College, the Army Chief was welcomed by the President of Cadet College Governing Council and Adjutant General, Bangladesh Army, GOC, 11 Infantry Division and Area Commander, Bogura Area, College Principal and President of Association of Joypurhat Ex-Cadets (AJEC).

Then, the chief guest inaugurated the AJEC reunion programme and took salute at the reunion parade. Later, he delivered speech before the cadets and former cadets participating in the parade.

The Army Chief along with the invited dignitaries and former and current cadets joined a luncheon.

The three-day reunion of the ex-cadets of Joypurhat Girls Cadet College began Thursday.
