Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC received MasterCard Excellence Awards-2025 in three categories. The bank won the “Excellence in MasterCard Prepaid Business (Cross-Border), “Excellence in MasterCard Debit Business (Cross-Border) and “Excellence in MasterCard Debit Business (Domestic) awards for the highest transactions through the card. Based on the activities of the 2024-25 fiscal year, the US-based card service provider MasterCard presented the award at a ceremony organized at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Dhaka on 22 November, 2025. In the presence of Ahsan H. Mansur, governor of Bangladesh Bank, Deputy Governor Md. Zakir Hossain Chowdhury handed over the prizes to Md. Mosharraf Hossain, executive vice president of the bank. Gautam Aggarwal, President of South Asia MasterCard, Syed Mohammad Kamal, country manager of MasterCard, Md. Maznuzzaman, executive vice president of Islami Bank along with managing directors and senior executives of different banks, fintech companies and business organizations of the country, attended the event, a press release said.
