The Best UCLC and Best Teacher Award 2025 for the non-formal education program of Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) has been awarded. On 24 November 2025, this award was given at a function at the Ahsania Mission College Auditorium in Pallabi-Dhaka. The function was presided over by DAM Vice President Dr. S.M. Khalilur Rahman and District Secondary Education Officer Md. Abdul Majid were present as the chief guest. Program Specialist of the KAAP Program of the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) Manzur Murshid and Thana Secondary Education Officer Farzana Sharmin were present as special guests. The welcome speech was delivered by DAM Education Sector Joint Director Md. Moniruzzaman. The president of the program announced the Best UCLC and Best Teacher Awards 2025, a press release said.
This time, the Best UCLC Award 2025 has won by Jyoti UCLC of the Mirpur area of the KAAP-UUP project. In addition, 3 non-formal education components of the DAM Education Sector are selected as the Best Teachers 2025. In pre-primary education, the Best Teacher 2025 is won by Rozina Akter Suborna, a teacher from Adarshnagar CLC of the KAAP-UUP project. The Best Primary Teacher-2025 is won by Amena Begum, a teacher from Kaderabad CLC of Mohammadpur area. The Best Teacher Junior Secondary-2025 is won by Gajala Shaheen, a teacher from Udayan UCLC of Saidpur area of Nilphamari. The chief guest of the program District Secondary Education Officer Md. Abdul Majid in his speech emphasizes on developing the skills of teachers, using modern and digital technology and ensuring community participation to provide quality education in line with the times.
This award is given to ensure quality education through motivating non-formal teachers and quality teacher development. In the selection of the best teacher, 23 teacher standards in three areas of teachers’ professional knowledge and understanding, professional practice and professional values and relationship building are taken into consideration. Similarly, in the selection of the best Urban Community Learning Center, 19 indicators in three areas of teaching environment, organizational skills of the institution and implementation of educational and co-curricular activities are considered. In the presence of guests, the CMC president and teachers receive the Best UCLC and Best Teachers Award 2025. The selected best UCLC and teachers were given crests, certificates and prize money at the event.

The Center Management Committee Presidents and the best teachers of the selected best UCLCs expressed their feelings and expressed their gratitude to Dhaka Ahsania Mission. They also said that they would extend their hands of cooperation to their UCLCs in the future. They firmly resolve to fulfill their responsibilities with more dedication in the future.
