The newly appointed Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Narayanganj Sadar, S.M. Fayez Uddin, held a views-exchange meeting with local journalists, where he discussed various issues of the upazila and received constructive suggestions from the media representatives.
The meeting was held on Thursday, December 11, at 11:30 AM in the auditorium of Narayanganj Sadar Upazila Parishad.
The program was presided over by UNO S.M. Fayez Uddin. Among others present were:
Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Fatullah Circle Mohammad Asaduzzaman Noor; President of Narayanganj District Reporters Unity Md. Shahidullah Russell; President of Fatullah Press Club Abdur Rahim; General Secretary Niaz Masum; Senior Vice President Md. Selim Munshi; Habibur Rahman, Narayanganj Correspondent of 71 Television; Monirul Alam, Narayanganj Correspondent of Global Television; Jasim Uddin, District Correspondent of Daily Jaijaidin; senior journalist Jahangir Hossain; and members of Fatullah Press Club—Sohel Rana and Masud Alam. Journalists from various print, electronic, and online media of the district and upazila also attended the event.
During the discussion, journalists presented different local problems and developmental challenges of the upazila and provided their observations and recommendations to the newly joined UNO.
Responding to the journalists, UNO S.M. Fayez Uddin said :
“Wherever I serve, I consider that upazila as my own. I work with full sincerity and responsibility. I have noted all the issues you have raised, and I will work earnestly to resolve them. I will also bring these matters to the appropriate forums when necessary.”
He further added:
“Journalists are among our key advisors and partners in our administrative activities. With your cooperation, the image of the administration will be strengthened, and I hope my work will leave a positive impression on you.”
