Islami Bank–CU agreement by CUCSU

Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC and the University of Chittagong signed a corporate agreement recently at Vice-Chancellor’s Office. Through this agreement, organized on the initiative of the University of Chittagong Central Students’ Union (CUCSU), teachers, students, and officers and staff of the university will be provided with a specialized co-branded dual-currency debit card free of cost. Receiving freelance income and paying fees including other various financial transactions can be carried out using this card. As a result, the university’s financial activities will move further towards a modern and cashless system, a press release said.

In the presence of the university’s Pro-Vice Chancellors (Academic) Professor Dr. Mohammed Shamim Uddin Khan and Pro-Vice Chancellors (Administration) Professor Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin, the bank’s Executive Vice President Shahidullah Majumder and the university’s Acting Registrar Dr. Mohammed Saiful Islam signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions. CUCSU Vice President Md. Ibrahim Hossain, along with executives, teachers and concerned officials of both institutions was present on that occasion.
