The BGMEA Board of Directors, led by Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) President Mahmud Hasan Khan, visited the grave of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson, national leader Begum Khaleda Zia.
This Friday morning, they paid their deepest respects by placing wreaths at the grave of Begum Khaleda Zia at Zia Udyan in the capital. After paying their respects, they offered prayers and supplications for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan was accompanied by BGMEA Senior Vice President EnamulHaque Khan, Vice President BhidiyaAmrit Khan, Vice President Md. ShihabUddozaChowdhury, Director Shah RaedChowdhury, Director Faisal Samad, Director Nafis-ud-Daulah, Director MajumderArifurRahman, Director KaziMizanurRahman, Director Dr. Rashid Ahmed Hossaini and Director Sakif Ahmed Salam.
After the visit, BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan told the media, “Begum Khaleda Zia was an uncompromising leader of democracy and her contribution to the development of the country’s garment industry is undeniable. In this time of national mourning, we express our deep condolences to her bereaved family and pray that Allah may grant her JannatulFirdaus.”
After the prayer, the BGMEA leaders stood in silence for a while to pay respect to the memory of the deceased.
