Global web hosting service provider hosting.com has officially commenced its business operations in Bangladesh. The formal launch ceremony was held on Wednesday (14 January) at Hotel Sheraton in Dhaka, with Faiz Ahmed Taiyeb, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, attending as the chief guest, a press release said.
At the event, it was announced that hosting.com will offer Bangla-language customer support, enable local currency payments, and ensure affordable hosting services tailored for Bangladeshi users.
The ceremony was attended by several distinguished guests, including Seb de Lemos, Chief Executive Officer of hosting.com; Panos Kesisis, Co-founder and Chief Operations Officer; Ben Gabler, Chief Product Officer; Daphne Monro, Head of Website & Content; and Shish Haider Chowdhury, Secretary of the ICT Division. Local technology experts and industry representatives were also present.
Speaking at the event, chief guest Faiz Ahmed Taiyeb said that the launch of hosting.com in Bangladesh would accelerate the growth of server infrastructure, cloud-based solutions, AI bot technology, search engine optimization, and the domain business, among other digital services. He noted that increased competition would enhance service quality, improve user experience, and open new opportunities, while also helping to build a strong digital ecosystem that would generate employment, boost skill development, and expand innovation in the knowledge, and technology-driven sectors.

Very soon, we will introduce special pricing and packages for Bangladeshi customers, keeping local culture and market needs in mind, he said. He added that more than three million websites are currently active on hosting.com’s infrastructure, with a new website added every 15 seconds, supported by over 20 data centers worldwide and a team of more than 1,000 experts, ensuring fast, stable, and uninterrupted services.
Meanwhile, Imran Hossen, Bangladesh Operations Manager of hosting.com, said that the company’s global-standard hosting and data infrastructure would open new opportunities for Bangladeshi entrepreneurs, startups, and digital businesses.
