REHAB’s Doa and Iftar Mahfil held

A Doa and Iftar Mahfil was held on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan at the initiative of the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB). The event organized at the Sonargaon Hotel in the capital was attended by about 1,000 people, including REHAB President, Senior Vice President Liaquat Ali Bhuiyan, other vice presidents, leaders of various trade organizations, current and former leaders of REHAB, directors of REHAB’s Board of Directors, representatives of REHAB member organizations, a press release said.

REHAB President Md. Wahiduzzaman presided over the event. State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yaser Khan Chowdhury was present as the chief guest.

In his speech, the REHAB President said, “Ramadan teaches us self-purification and restraint. In this holy month, we pray for the overall development of the country and the progress of the housing sector. The housing sector is not just a business, it is one of the driving forces of the country’s economy. More than 5 million people are employed in this sector. Through planned urbanization, affordable housing and policy support, we want to play a bigger role in the country’s development journey.” He also said that REHAB is working in coordination with the government to build a modern, sustainable and people-friendly housing system.

REHAB Senior Vice President Liaquat Ali Bhuiyan said, “It is a great joy for me and you that we have been able to come together again after overcoming various problems. This holy Ramadan is a month of self-sacrifice, restraint and patience. It is a time to shine in the light of forgiveness and tolerance. I hope that our mutual bond will be stronger around this Ramadan.”

Special prayers and supplications were offered at the event for the peace and prosperity of the country, nation and Muslim Ummah. After the Iftar, a cordial gathering was held among the participants. REHAB leaders expressed the hope that such an event would further strengthen the bond of mutual unity, harmony and cooperation and would be helpful in taking the housing sector to new heights.
