Alongside devout Muslims across the globe, the holy month of Ramadan is being observed in Bangladesh with due religious fervor. Marking the sacred occasion, Nagad has introduced a special campaign for its Nagad Islamic wallet users, offering them a chance to perform the holy Umrah, a press release said.
To participate in the campaign, Nagad Islamic users must conduct transactions worth a minimum of Tk 3,000 from their wallet. However, person-to-person (P2P) transfers will not be considered eligible transactions under this offer.
The campaign, which commenced on the first day of Ramadan, will continue until the last day of the holy month. At the end of the campaign, winners will be selected from among eligible participants and awarded the opportunity to perform Umrah. The fortunate winners will be notified with detailed information through a phone call from the Nagad Islamic customer service center.
Commenting on the initiative, Professor Dr. H. M. Shahidul Islam Barakati, Chairman of the Nagad Islamic Shariah Board, said, “During the holy month of Ramadan, devout Muslim brothers and sisters may earn the opportunity to perform Umrah by conducting their necessary purchases and transactions through Nagad Islamic. We have launched this campaign in the hope of becoming partners in enabling believers to perform Tawaf at the sacred House of Allah.”
All decisions regarding the campaign reserved by Nagad, and the decision of Nagad Islamic will be considered final. To enjoy the benefits of the campaign, users must ensure that their Nagad Islamic account remains active and fully verified.
The authorities have also stated that any participant found engaged in fraudulent activities or suspicious transactions to secure the Umrah package will be deemed ineligible for the campaign.
