Islami Bank, Western Union launch bicycle offer for remittance clients

Remittance clients of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC get 2 gear bicycles through digital draw every banking day for sending remittance through Western Union and a wall clock as a guaranteed gift. Additionally, the highest remittance recipient during the campaign will be awarded an electric bicycle as a mega prize. This offer will run from 1 to 31 May, 2026. Md. Altaf Hossain, Managing Director (Current Charge) of the Bank inaugurated the Islami Bank-Western Union Remittance Campaign as the chief guest on April 29, 2026, Wednesday at Islami Bank Tower. Shihab Hassan, Regional Operations Manager for South Asia and Country Manager for Bangladesh of Western Union was present as the Guest of Honor. Engr. Mohammad Jamal Uddin Mazumder, Additional Managing Director attended the program as special guest. Md Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Managing Director presided over program. Md. Mahboob Alam, Deputy Managing Director of the bank, Md. Taohidur Rahman, Head of Business & M. Tanveer Hussain Khan, Marketing Manager of Western Union Bangladesh also attended the program. Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, Head of Overseas Banking Division of the Bank addressed the welcome speech. Executives and officials from the head office were present on the occasion. All Zonal Heads, Head of Branches and Sub-Branch In-charges of the bank were connected through virtual platform, a press release said.
