The United States Government has donated 600,000 U.S.-manufactured GeneXpert tuberculosis testing kits and 11,000 courses of pediatric TB drugs to the Government of Bangladesh. Ambassador Brent T. Christensen presented the donation during a ceremony at a leading tuberculosis hospital, attended by Sardar Mohammad Shakhawat Hossain Bokul, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, and Directorate General of Health Services Prof. Dr. Pravath Chandra Biswas, a press release said.
