Ad-Din Medical College holds orientation program

The orientation program for the new MBBS students of the 2025-26 academic year of Ad-Din Women’s Medical College, Ad-Din Momin Medical College and Barrister Rafiq-ul Haque Medical College, run by Ad-Din Foundation, was held with great enthusiasm. The college campus was bustling with the movement of new students. The students, who came from different parts of the country and abroad with the great vow of human service, had new dreams and determination to move forward with new enthusiasm, a press release said.

At 9:30 am, the Health Education and Family Welfare Department of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare organized an orientation program for new MBBS students of all government and private medical colleges of the country for the academic year 2025-26 on the Zoom platform. Minister of Health and Family Welfare Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain was present as the chief guest. State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Professor Dr. MA Muhith was present as the special guest.

Later, the orientation program held at the Barrister Rafiq-ul Haque Auditorium of Ad-Din Medical College was attended by the chief guest, Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain Munshi, Advisor of Ad-Din Foundation. The special guest was Professor Dr. Mostahid Md. Hasan, Director (Discipline) of the Directorate of Health Education.

At the event, Ad-Din Women’s Medical College Principal Professor Dr. Mahmuda Hasan gave a directional speech to the new students. At the time, the college’s Vice-Principal Professor Dr. Mazharul Islam, along with teachers, officers, employees and students from various departments of Ad-Din Medical College, were present.

Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain Munshi said, “Studying in medicine is a story of regular persistence. If you study every day, you will be successful. You have to enjoy studying medicine. Medical college is a factory that makes people. From this factory, you have to become a good doctor as well as a good person.”

Principal Professor Dr. Mahmuda Hasan said, “ The fresher’s welcome ceremony is a memorable day for you. By studying MBBS, you are going to become the engineer of your body. Medicine is a noble profession. Through it, you get the opportunity to serve humanity. Therefore, you should be a good doctor and keep yourself engaged in the service of the country and the people.”

It is worth noting that a total of 100 students have been admitted to Ad-Din Women’s Medical College for the 2025-26 academic year. Of these, 73 are local and 27 are foreign students.
