Shwapno, the country’s leading retail chain, has stepped forward to support 12-year-old Samia Akter from Pohonkucha Paschim Para of Bagmara South Union in Lalmai Upazila, Cumilla, bringing some relief to the financially struggling child and her family through a long-term assistance initiative, a press release said.

At a locally organised event held recently, Shwapno handed over a cheque worth BDT 5,000 to Samia. Under the initiative, she will be able to receive BDT 5,000 every month under the supervision of the local chairman, which is expected to play an important role in supporting her education and daily needs. Through this arrangement, Shwapno authorities announced a total financial assistance commitment of BDT 480,000 for Samia’s future.

A senior official of Shwapno said, “We believe that even small initiatives can create a meaningful impact in someone’s life. By standing beside Samia, we are acting on that sense of responsibility.”

According to local residents, this type of support serves as a major source of hope for an underprivileged family. They expressed optimism that the continued assistance will help build a better future for Samia.

Shwapno has long been involved in various social and humanitarian initiatives across the country. The company stated that it will continue its efforts to support underprivileged and vulnerable communities in the future as well.
