DHAKA : The Labour Reform Commission has made recommendations for eliminating regional disparities through balanced urbanization.
The Labour Reform Commission submitted its report to Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus on April 21 at the State Guest House Jamuna.
The Labour Reform Commission’s said in its recommendation that initiatives should be taken to establish labour-intensive industries and special economic zones based on relevant policies to ensure sustainable and decent employment in backward regions.
The Labour Reform Commission has recommended decentralization of labour and planned industrial decentralization and ensuring citizen benefits to solve the internal migration problem.
On November 17, 2024, the government formed the Labour Reform Commission, headed by Syed Sultan Uddin Ahmed, executive director of the Bangladesh Institute of Labour Studies.
