Shahjalal Islami Bank launches mobile app for faster banking

Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC officially launched the Mobile App “ShahjalalTouchPay” on 30 th July 2025 with the aim of providing fast, secure and easy banking services to its’ customers. From now the customers of the Bank can download the App on both iOS and Android platforms and perform banking activities. From 4 th August 2025 a customer will be able to download this app from the Google Play Store/App Store and conduct all his banking activities from home/abroad without visiting any bank branch. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank, A. K. Azad was present as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the Mobile App “ShahjalalTouchPay” on 30 th July 2025 at the corporate head office of the bank. The Managing Director of the bank M. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed presided over the program, according to a press release.

Among others the Vice-Chairman of the Board Mohammed Younus Mohiuddin Ahmed, the Directors Akkas Uddin Mollah, Khandaker Shakib Ahmed, Fakir Akhtaruzzaman, Md. Moshiur Rahman Chamak, Jabun Nahar, Independent Directors Nasir Uddin Ahmed  Md. Reazul Karim were present in the meeting. Besides, the Additional Managing Director of the Bank Imtiaz U. Ahmed, the Deputy Managing Director M. M. Saiful Islam, the Company Secretary of the Bank Md. Abul Bashar, the CFO of the Bank Md. Jafar Sadeq, FCA and the Head of the IT Division Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Khandker Bedoura Mahbub were present in the program.

The application is designed to offer secure, user-friendly, and technologically advanced digital banking services to its customers. With a modern interface and enhanced functionalities, the Shahjalal TouchPay app provides users with a wide array of features, including: Real-time account management: Customers can conveniently access real-time account balances and transaction history.

Seamless fund transfers: The app enables instant money transfers not only within Shahjalal Islami Bank but also to other banks via RTGS, BFTN and NPSB networks.

Bill payments and recharges: Customers can pay utility bills, settle credit card bills of any bank, and recharge any mobile number.

Branch and ATM locator: Users can easily locate nearby branches and ATM booths through the app.

Secure login through biometric authentication: The application supports fingerprint-based biometric login for enhanced security.

Additional digital payment options: The app also includes QR code payments and money transfers to popular mobile financial services such as bKash and Nagad, facilitating payments through numerous digital channels. Customer can withdraw cash from any branch of SJIBPLC without cheque by scanning QR code.
