BRAC Bank trains 100 women entrepreneurs in AI business skills

Dhaka : BRAC Bank organised a workshop for 100 women entrepreneurs, focused on applying artificial intelligence (AI) across key business areas, including product development, marketing, and digital branding.  Held on 28 July 2025, the initiative was organised in collaboration with the Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) and powered by the Gates Foundation, according to a press release.

The workshop titled “Digital Entrepreneurial Skill Development” covered practical applications of AI in business development, competitor analysis, marketing automation, visual content creation, and social media optimisation.  The sessions were conducted by industry experts: Munir Hasan, President, and Mosharaf Hossain Tipu, Program Officer from BdOSN; Shah Paran, Co-founder, Opzo Technology; Asad Iqbal, Founder, Virtuanic Solutions; Emrazina Islam, Founder, Kaj360; and Nuzhat Farhana, MTO, Marcopolo AI.

The event concluded with a certificate-giving ceremony, attended by senior officials from BRAC Bank, including Syed Abdul Momen, Additional Managing Director and Head of SME Banking.

Syed Abdul Momen said, “As the digital economy accelerates, the entrepreneurs of Bangladesh must be equipped to lead.
