A discussion meeting titled “Service and Opportunity for the Marginalized in Building a Hunger and Poverty-Free Society”was held at the initiative of Futonto Kishore Sangha a traditional and well-known social and non-political organization in Chottogram the country’s commercial capital.The colorful event was held in front of the organization’s central office at C&B Tech Bazar under Chandgaon police station in the city on the afternoon of Friday 12 September.
The discussion meeting was chaired by Saddam Hossain,the central president of Futonto Kishore Sangha and moderated by Senior Joint General Secretary Md.Kamrul Hasan Fahim.Additional District Magistrate of Chattogram District Syed Mahbubul Haque was present as the chief guest.S M Aziz District Governor of the Association of Alliance International Clubs was present as the inaugural speaker.
S M Akash National Civil Rights and Election Analyst and Chattogram Divisional Bureau Chief of ATN News and The Bangladesh Today, delivered the keynote address as the main discussant at the colorful event.Journalist Nur Mohammad Rana a prominent Sufi researcher and co-editor of the daily Shomyer Kagoj,was present as a special discussant.The guest of honor was Dr.Abu Naser Deputy Managing Director of Chattogram National Hospital and prominent politician, along with eminent personalities from various professions.
At the end of the discussion, a special reception and ID cards were presented to several volunteers in recognition of their social and service work.
