IPDC, TishCAN partner for breast cancer awareness

IPDC Finance PLC. is proud to announce its partnership with TishCAN for the upcoming “TishCAN Pink Afternoon: Breast Cancer Awareness & Wellness” event, scheduled to be held on Saturday, 27th September 2025, at 3:30 PM at Jogger’s Park, Gulshan Society Lake Park, a press release said.

The Pink Afternoon is a part of TishCAN’s Pink October activities. The event will bring together voices from the medical, corporate, and wellness communities to promote awareness about breast cancer and highlight the importance of early detection and overall well-being. The event will feature discussions, survivor stories, and an energizing Zumba session, creating an engaging space for both education and empowerment.

Participants will hear from Dr. ShifatTanjila, practicing surgeon, on breast cancer signs and early detection; Shamarukh Fakhruddin, Director at Urmi Group and a breast cancer survivor, who will share her journey of resilience; and SamiaAfreen, entrepreneur and TV anchor, who will emphasize the importance of a balanced and healthy lifestyle. To conclude the event, certified instructor ZIN Aayan will lead a spirited Zumba session, reinforcing the role of physical activity in overall wellness.

Speaking about the collaboration,  Fahmida Khan, Chief Financial Officer of IPDC Finance PLC., said,“At IPDC, we believe that true progress is not only about financial growth but also about enabling healthier, more aware communities. Dr. ShifatTanjila further highlighted, “Breast cancer is treatable when detected early. Through events like Pink Afternoon, we aim to ensure more women recognize the signs, take timely action, and prioritize their health without hesitation.”

The event is free for all, with any donations along with the BDT 1000 registration fee for the Zumba session will go directly towards TishCAN’s awareness and support programs. Participants are encouraged to wear pink in solidarity and dress comfortably for light physical activities like stretching and dance.

Through this partnership, IPDC Finance PLC. and TishCAN aim to create lasting impact by blending knowledge, shared stories, and the power of community. Together, they envision a future where no one faces cancer alone.
