The 7th International Conference on the Advancement of Science and Technology (AESCT 2025) was held at Eastern University on Saturday. The conference is a joint initiative of Eastern University, Bangladesh and International Open University (IOU), The Gambia.
The inaugural ceremony of the conference was presided over by the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Eastern University, Professor Dr. Farid Ahmed Sobhani. In his speech, he highlighted the importance of ethical and humanistic values in the fields of science, business, technology and education. In addition, video messages were given by the Honorable Chancellor of IOU, The Gambia, Professor Dr. Abu Amina Bilal Phillips and the Chairman of the Association of Private Universities, Bangladesh, Dr. Md. Sabur Khan.
The Chief Guest of the event was Professor Dr. Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Honorable Chairman of Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC). Engineer Khandaker Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Member, Board of Trustees (BOT), Eastern University and Professor Dr. Abul Hasan M. Sadek, Founder Chairman of Asian University of Bangladesh were present as special guests.
Also present as honored guests were the Honorable Vice-Chancellors of Daffodil International University, City University, Manarat International University and Asian University of Bangladesh, Principal Advisor of Presidency University and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics) of International Open University (OOU), The Gambia, Professor Dr. Muhammad Ahsan. Also present were Mr. Niaz Rahim, Group Managing Director of RahimAfroz Bangladesh Ltd.
The keynote address of the conference was presented by Dr. Muhammad Imadur Rahman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
In addition, Dr. Md. Musharraf Hossain, Advisor (HR), ICTDR,B and President, Federation of Bangladesh Human Resource Organizations (FBHRO), delivered a speech as a distinguished speaker at the event.
Eminent academicians, researchers and students from home and abroad participated in the conference. Research papers presented in various technical and parallel sessions discussed science, business, technology and Islamic perspectives.
The conference was convened by Professor Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Head of Department of Business Administration, ONGT, The Gambia and co-convener Dr. Abu Bin Ihsan, Chairperson and Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacy, Eastern University. In addition, Professor Dr. Afroza Bulbul, Director, Research and Publications, Ongote, The Gambia.
The event was also attended by the Treasurer, Registrar, Deans of various faculties, Heads of Departments, Paper Presenters, Officers, Staff, Teachers and Students of Eastern University.
At the end of the event, the Organizing Committee expressed its sincere gratitude to all the guests, supporting institutions, researchers and participants of the conference.
