AKIJ Resource submits application to establish Munafa Islamic Digital Bank PLC

DHAKA : On the final day of submission for digital bank applications, AKIJ Resource Limited officially submitted its proposal to the Bangladesh Bank for the establishment of “Munafa Islamic Digital Bank PLC.”

The application was formally submitted to the Banking Regulation and Policy Department (BRPD) by Engr. Md. Firoz Kabir, Chief Digital & Innovation Officer of AKIJ Resource.

Through this initiative, AKIJ Resource aims to usher in a new era of digital banking in Bangladesh, one where banking is not just about technology, but about empowering people with financial freedom and accessibility.

Engr. Md. Firoz Kabir stated, “A digital bank will be a platform where every person, every dream and every possibility will be connected through technology. Our vision is to build a Bangladesh where financial services are accessible to all, not limited to a few.”

Sheikh Jasim Uddin, Chairman & MD of AKIJ Resource Group, believes that this project will take financial inclusion, innovation, and technology-driven banking in Bangladesh to a new height.
