The final match of Eastern University Inter-Departmental Football Tournament 2025 was held today in a festive and lively atmosphere at the university’s own football field. In this competitive match, the Department of Business Administration (BBA) defeated the Pharmacy Department by 1-0 goals and won the championship, a press release said.
The Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Eastern University, Professor Dr. Farid Ahmed Sobhani, was present as the chief guest and handed over the champion trophy to the winning team. In addition, Treasurer Professor Md. Shamsul Huda and Registrar Dr. Abul Bashar Khan were present as special guests. The final match and prize distribution ceremony was attended by university teachers, administrative officers and a large number of students, making the field premises festive.
The tournament was organized by Eastern University Games and Sports Club and supported by KM Monirul Islam, Deputy Director of Student Affairs. This tournament is a reflection of Eastern University’s commitment to developing sportsmanship, teamwork and a participatory culture among students.
