The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) celebrated International Accounting Day 2025 with great enthusiasm and colorful festivities, marking the occasion with a vibrant rally and renewed commitment to professional excellence, a press release said.
Observed globally on November 10, International Accounting Day recognizes the invaluable contributions of accountants and finance professionals who uphold transparency, integrity, and accuracy in financial management across all sectors.
To commemorate the day, ICMAB organized a spirited rally that began at its headquarters in Nilkhet at 4:00 PM. The procession paraded through Katabon and the Dhaka University area before returning to the Institute premises. The event drew the participation of council members, professional members, students, and staff of ICMAB, symbolizing unity, pride, and the strong sense of community within Bangladesh’s accounting profession.
Among the participants carrying the Accounting Day flags were Md. Kausar Alam FCMA, Vice President; Md. Akhtaruzzaman FCMA, Council Member; S.M. Zahir Uddin Haider FCMA, Council Member of ICMAB; S M Shawon Mahmud FCMA, Chairman; Zillur Rahman FCMA, Vice Chairman; Md. Zasim Uddin FCMA, Treasurer of Dhaka Branch Council (DBC), and Md. Mahbub Ul Alam FCMA, Executive Director of ICMAB, along with teachers, students, and members of the Institute.
