On the occasion of the Great Victory Day, Eastern University paid deep tribute to the martyrs of the Liberation War by placing a floral wreath at the National Martyrs’ Memorial today.
The tribute program was held in the morning with the participation of the university’s faculty members, department heads, and students from various departments. On the occasion, the participants remembered the supreme sacrifice of the martyrs and pledged to remain united in the spirit of the Victory of Bangladesh.
The university administration stated that the objective of this Victory Day program was to raise awareness among the younger generation about the true history of the Liberation War and the sacrifices made by the martyrs. At the same time, the program emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in protecting the country’s independence and sustaining its continued progress.
The administration further noted that the freedom and sovereignty of Bangladesh were achieved through the immense sacrifices of the brave freedom fighters, whose contribution will remain eternally remembered. The present generation was urged to move the country forward by upholding the spirit of the Liberation War.
