The much-awaited entrepreneurship fair “Battle of Traders – Season 5” and Winter Fest were officially inaugurated today at the Eastern University campus. The fair was organized by the Eastern University Business and Social Entrepreneurship Club (BSEC), a press release said.
The event was inaugurated by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Eastern University, Professor Dr. Farid Ahmed Sobhani. Professorial Fellow of Oxford University, UK, Professor Hafiz T. A. Khan, Professorial Fellow, Oxford University, was present as the special guest. Also present at the event were the university registrar, deans, heads of various departments, teachers, officials and employees and a large number of students.
Along with the students of Eastern University, students from other universities and colleges of the country participated in this entrepreneurship fair. The fair is decorated with various creative and innovative stalls with exotic products. The fair will serve as an effective platform for young entrepreneurs to implement their business ideas, showcase their products and develop their entrepreneurial capabilities.
In his inaugural speech, the Honorable Vice Chancellor emphasized on developing the entrepreneurial mindset of the youth and mentioned that such initiatives will play an important role in the practical education and leadership development of students.
This three-day event will continue till 29, 30 and 31 December 2025. Along with the Entrepreneur Fair, there are various exotic pitha and food stalls for visitors on the occasion of the Winter Fest, which has created a festive atmosphere on the campus. The overall supervision of the fair was by KM Monirul Islam, Deputy Director of the Office of the Student Affairs and Placement of Eastern University.
