In the same meeting, Mohiuddin Ahmed reelected and Md. Jafar Sadeq, FCA elected as Vice-Chairmen respectively of Shahjalal Islami Bank Securities Limited, a press release said.
The newly elected Chairman Khandaker Sakib Ahmed was born in 1975 in a respectable Muslim family in Dhaka district. Khandaker Sakib Ahmed is one of the Sponsors and Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC. He completed of his MBA Degree. He has long and creditable business experience for more than three decades. Sakib is the Chairman of Own the World Company Limited, Own the World Hajj & Umrah Limited and Intech Limited. He is the Director of AQUA Consultants & Associates Ltd.. He is also the Shareholder of Millennium Information Solution Limited and Partner of Innovio IT. By dint of his talent, diligent and amiable personality he is emerging as an eminent business figure. In addition to his success in trade and business, Sakib is immensely reputed for his contribution to the field of education. He is the member of the governing body of Eastern University and Al-Azhar International Grammar School. He is one of the Director of Hurdco International School. Moreover, he adheres to run the Mizbahul Uloom Model Madrasa. Khandaker Sakib Ahmed is an honorary member of Rotary Club of Banani, Dhaka. The reelected Vice-Chairman of Shahjalal Islami Bank Securities Limited Mohiuddin Ahmed was born in a respectable Muslim family in 1955 at Bangshal in the old city of Dhaka. He has a long and successful business experience for more than four decades. Renowned businessman Mohiuddin is the proprietor of Rupsha Trading Corporation and Mohiuddin Auto House. He is also the Chairman of Pecific Automobiles. Mohiuddin Ahmed is the Vice-Chairman of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC and Sponsor Shareholder of Islami Insurance Bangladesh Ltd.. He is the former Vice Chairman and member of the Governing Body of Southeast University. He is also a former Director of Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI). The another elected Vice-Chairman Md. Jafar Sadeq, serving the Deputy Managing Director & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC.. Sadeq is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB). He began his professional career in 2002 with Hoda Vasi Chowdhury (HVC), Chartered Accountants, where he developed a solid foundation in auditing, financial control systems, regulatory compliance and corporate governance practices. He commenced his banking career with One Bank PLC. and later joined Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC. in 2006. Since then, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the Bank’s strategic growth and strengthening its financial governance framework. Demonstrating strong leadership across finance, operations, treasury, risk management and business functions, he was appointed CFO of the Bank in 2015 and later progressed to Deputy Managing Director through sustained performance excellence and strategic acumen. With over 20 years of extensive experience in the banking sector, Sadeq is widely recognized as a seasoned finance professional. His expertise spans financial planning and analysis, taxation, regulatory reporting, capital planning, asset liability management, risk management oversight and Capital Market. An avid reader and passionate traveler, Sadeq has attended a good number of training courses, workshops, seminars and webinars at home & abroad.
