BRAC University hosted its first-ever Alumni Reunion 2026 on the Merul Badda campus in Dhaka (Friday, 8 May 2026), as a part of celebrations marking its upcoming silver jubilee, a press release said.
Graduates from all 17 convocations to date and their families reconnected with teachers and university leadership.
“Each of you has been part of BRAC University’s impactful journey over the past 25 years. Your achievements, commitment, and continued connection inspire us to shine brighter and strive for even greater impact in the years ahead,” said Vice-Chancellor Professor Syed Ferhat Anwar.
BRAC University’s value is in its people—students, teachers and staff—for whom a new mission and vision have been adopted under the theme “Reimagining Excellence”, said Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Arshad Mahmud Chowdhury.
The reunion featured a football match, interactive activities for children, cultural performances, a raffle draw, songs by Shironamhin, and a screening of this year’s Bonolota Express film.
Speakers at the event included Registrar Dr. David Dowland, Professor Emeritus Ainun Nishat, BRAC Business School Dean Professor Mohammad Mujibul Haque, Associate Professor Sadia Hamid Kazi, chairperson of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Lady Syeda Sarwat Abed, advisor of the BRAC Institute of Languages, Student Life Head Tahsina Rahman, and a representative from the alumni community.
Faculty members from various departments and senior university leaders were also present.
