Eastern Bank (EBL) has entered into a bancassurance partnership with Akij Takaful Life Insurance to offer a range of Shariah-compliant life insurance solutions to its customers. This collaboration will enable EBL customers to access a wide array of Shariah-compliant life insurance solutions. This collaboration marks a significant step towards enhancing financial inclusion through ethical, faith-based financial products.
The introduction of takaful products through EBL’s extensive branch network will make Islamic life insurance more accessible to a broader customer base, helping to protect and secure families while aligning with their faith-based values.
Khorshed Anowar, DMD and Head of Retail and SME Banking and Chief Bancassurance Officer of EBL, and Mohammad Masuduzzaman Khan, DMD and Chief Corporate Business Officer of Akij Takaful Life Insurance signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations at EBL head office in Dhaka today.
