DHAKA : A delegation of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) distributed relief materials to 500 affected families in the flood-affected areas of Fulgazi and Parashuram upazilas of Feni district on 19 July 2025, according to a press release.
BGMEA Director Majumder Arifur Rahman and Director Dr. Rashid Ahmed Hossaini distributed relief materials to the flood victims. The relief materials included rice, pulses, soybean oil, onion, potato, salt, muri, jaggery and turmeric and chili powder spices. While distributing the relief, BGMEA Director Majumder Arifur Rahman said, “The garment industry is not only the driving force of the economy, it is also committed to fulfilling its social responsibilities. BGMEA is committed to standing by the helpless people in any difficult time in national life.”
Director Dr. Rashid Ahmed Hossaini said, “BGMEA will continue to stand by the people in any disaster in the country in the future.” Local administration and dignitaries were present during the relief distribution. People of the flood-affected areas and local public representatives have appreciated this initiative of BGMEA.
