In the statement, the leaders highlighted the current price list of commodities and said that due to extortion, syndicates, and various irregularities in the market, prices have skyrocketed: onions are being sold at Tk. 100 per kg, papaya at Tk. 40 per kg, taro stems at Tk. 90 per kg, yardlong beans at Tk. 120 per kg, ridge gourd at Tk. 100 per kg, pointed gourd at Tk. 120 per kg, snake gourd at Tk. 90 per kg, tomatoes at Tk. 180 per kg, pumpkin at Tk. 60 per kg, radish at Tk. 80 per kg, bitter gourd at Tk. 100 per kg, okra at Tk. 90 per kg, cucumber at Tk. 100 per kg, eggplant at Tk. 100 per kg, green chili at Tk. 280 per kg, arum at Tk. 60 per kg, and carrots at Tk. 160 per kg. At such a time, the government is busy with reforms instead of prioritizing the people. The leaders urged that the government must first take steps to stabilize the market so that peace and prosperity prevail in the country.

In the statement, Momin Mahadi also called for the publication of the list of corrupt individuals and said: the government must immediately publish the names of those involved in corruption during the past 16 years of regime as well as under the interim government to prove that it is truly anti-corruption and people-friendly. Otherwise, ordinary citizens may get the wrong message about the interim government, which the politicians of Natundhara do not want in any way.
