Evercare Hospital Chattogram, the port city’s largest hospital, has further strengthened its nephrology services with the appointment of Dr. Sadia Sultana, MBBS, MD, as Attending Consultant in the Nephrology Department. Her joining marks a significant step in advancing comprehensive kidney care in the southeastern region of Bangladesh, a press release said.
Dr. Sultana is a skilled and experienced nephrologist with expertise in managing chronic kidney disease (CKD), acute kidney injury (AKI), glomerulonephritis (including lupus-related kidney diseases), dialysis-related complications, and post-kidney transplant care. She is proficient in both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, as well as advanced nephrology procedures such as kidney biopsy and placement of temporary and permanent dialysis catheters.
She obtained her MBBS from Chattogram Medical College and her MD in Nephrology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). Additionally, she completed a fellowship in Dialysis and Renal Replacement Therapy from the World Kidney Academia.
Before joining Evercare Hospital Chattogram, Dr. Sultana was actively engaged in clinical practice and academic teaching, training medical students, and treating critically ill kidney patients in the ICU. She has several research papers published in reputed peer-reviewed journals and regularly participates in international workshops and conferences to stay aligned with the latest global standards in nephrology.
With her appointment, the Nephrology Department at Evercare Hospital Chattogram is poised to offer more advanced, modern, and patient-focused kidney care for the community.
