JCI Dhaka Metro has officially launched its fourth flagship initiative, Project Career Inspiration, (October 7). The goal of this project is to create sustainable employment opportunities for Bangladeshi youth and to equip them with professional skills in the hospitality industry, a press release said.
Through this project, six young men and women will receive international-standard barista training and certification under the world-renowned Second Cup Coffee brand. Upon completion of the training, participants will also have the opportunity for internships and potential job placements, helping them to build meaningful and sustainable careers.
Towfiq Hasan, Local President of JCI Dhaka Metro 2025, stated, “JCI believes that true empowerment comes through skill development and sustainable career opportunities for youth. Project Career Inspiration is not just about creating jobs—it’s about creating dignity, independence, and inspiration.”
Second Cup Coffee, the globally recognized coffee brand, will provide technical training and internationally accredited certification under this initiative. This collaboration will help young people enter the workforce and strengthen Bangladesh’s growing hospitality sector.
The project directly contributes to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 4: Quality Education, and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth).
JCI Dhaka Metro, one of the leading local organizations under JCI Bangladesh, continues to work toward youth empowerment, community development, entrepreneurship, and sustainable growth.
