Bangladesh ChatraKallyan Trust, ATN Bangla honor teachers on World Teachers’ Day

Marking the World Teachers’ Day 2025, a discussion titled “Ongoing Crisis and Solutions in the Education Sector” was organized by Bangladesh ChatraKallyan Trust which has made outstanding contributions to the development of education with ATN Bangla, In the program in recognition of outstanding performance and special contributions to the field of education, two renowned educationists have been awarded “Lifetime Achievement Awards”. The academicians who received the lifetime achievement award are Professor Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam, Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh Open University and Professor Dr. Farid Ahmed Sobhani, Vice Chancellor of Eastern University. The event was held at ATN Bangla’s studio on Wednesday (October 15) was jointly organized by “Somayer Satte” ATN Bangla and Bangladesh Chhatra Kalyan Trust, a press release said.

Principal Noor Alam Talukder, Managing Director of Bangladesh Chatrakallayan Trust and Director of Palli Sanchay Bank handed over the commemorative mementos of Lifetime Achievement Awards to the two academicians at the ceremony.  The program was also attended by ATN Bangla “Somayer Sathe” program director and Education Watch editor Md. Khalilur Rahman.

The award-winning educators said that this recognition will further inspire their efforts in education and social development. The recognition of lifelong contributions in the field of education is being considered as a shining example of gratitude towards teachers. At the event, the educationists highly praised the Bangladesh Student Welfare Trust for taking such a great initiative.
