The General Assembly 2025 of JCI Dhaka Metro, a prominent local chapter under JCI Bangladesh, was successfully held on Friday at the JCI Bangladesh National Office in Gulshan, a press release said.
In keeping with its long-standing legacy of leadership and impact, the event highlighted JCI Dhaka Metro’s constructive social and developmental activities throughout 2025. Key discussions centered around socioeconomic empowerment workshops, women-led initiatives, healthcare services for underprivileged communities, and other milestones in organizational progress.
The session commenced with the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Executive Committee for 2026, comprising 11 board members. Farjana Islam was sworn in as the Local President 2026, with the oath administered by Immediate Past Local President Towfiq Hasan.
The newly elected board includes: Mahiatull Alam – Local Executive Vice President Tahmina Khatun & Faisal Ahmed Babu – Local Vice Presidents Md. Golam Kibria – Local Secretary General Adv. Firoz Hawlader – Local General Legal Counsel (GLC) Nazmul Haque Baten – Local Treasurer Nadia Ahmed – Local Training Commissioner Dipankar Das – Local Director Saki Al Hasan – Local Committee Chair
The election process was supervised by National Vice President BM Zahid Hossain Maruf, who served as the Election Commissioner, in the presence of Raihan Akbor Tutul, Mentor and Regional Vice President (RVP) of JCI Dhaka Metro 2025. In his remarks, BM Zahid Hossain Maruf commended JCI Dhaka Metro for a highly successful year in 2025, praising Local President Towfiq Hasan and his team for introducing innovative projects that elevated the chapter’s impact and visibility nationwide.
The event was also graced by Raju Ahmed, National Foundation Affairs Committee Chairperson, and Steve D’Silva, National Sports and Events Chairperson.
Election Commissioner and National Vice President BM Zahid Hossain Maruf congratulated Local President Farzana Islam and her newly elected board, expressing confidence that they will continue to uphold JCI’s mission of leadership, service, and positive change in the coming year.
