DHAKA : In a heartfelt initiative, EXPO Group, Bangladesh, yesterday (October 26, 2025), hosted a special Breast Cancer Awareness Program in collaboration with the Inner Wheel Club of Anondolok, District 328, at Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel, the event’s official hospitality partner.
Aligned with SDG 3 and SDG 5, this HR-led initiative reflects EXPO’s enduring commitment to wellness, empowerment, and community awareness under its CSR and People Care framework.
In the event, Zesrina Haider, District Chairman of Inner Wheel District 328, was present as the Guest of Honor,and the keynote address was delivered by Prof. Dr. Israt Jahan (Ila), Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College & Hospital.
“Our greatest strength as an organization lies in caring for our people – not only by nurturing their careers, but also by prioritizing their health and well-being,” said Ayesha Saeed, Chief Human Resources Officer, EXPO Group,Bangladesh, who also led the event. “This initiative reflects that belief. Breast cancer awareness is not just a cause we support for a day, but a continuous commitment to encourage regular checkups, stand beside those fighting this battle, and foster a culture of empathy and care throughout the year.”
“Self-examination is incredibly important because prevention is always better than cure,” saidZesrina Haider, District Chairman, Inner Wheel District 328. “It is our duty to increase self-awareness, to educate ourselves, and to help our sisters and friends become more aware. Inner Wheel has always been committed to assisting communities with the right information and guidance so that together, we can take early action and save lives.”
There were also special guest speakers, including breast cancer survivors, who shared the inspiring stories of their journeys, reminding everyone of the strength, hope, and resilience that define the fight against cancer. Closing the program, Mushfequa Hossain Babuny, President, Inner Wheel Club of Anondolok, expressed gratitude to EXPO Group, Bangladesh, for their collaboration and continued commitment.The event was beautifully organized and hosted by Ruthba Hasan, Business Coordination Lead, Expo Group, and Vice President 2, Inner Wheel Club of Anondolok.
With the theme “Every Story is Unique, Every Journey Matters,” the event stood as a powerful reminder that every journey of struggle, recovery, and courage deserves to be seen, supported, and celebrated.
