Guardian and Agriventure join forces to protect farmers’ futures

DHAKA : In a bold step toward redefining financial security for the country’s farmers, Guardian Life Insurance Limited has partnered with Agrifintech startup Agriventure Limited to bring Credit Shield Insurance to the agricultural sector. Under this collaboration, Guardian will provide insurance coverage for farmers financed by Agriventure, ensuring that in times of unforeseen hardship, they are not left burdened by outstanding loans, a press release said.

This partnership reflects a shared mission to build a more resilient and inclusive agricultural ecosystem by merging technology, finance, and empathy for those who sustain the nation’s food supply.

Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Rakibul Karim said, “At Guardian, we believe true progress begins when protection reaches everyone. Farmers are the backbone of our economy, yet they often face the toughest financial risks alone. This partnership is our way of ensuring that their hard work is never left unprotected and their future remains secure.”

Rabib Ridwan further added, “Technology is our bridge to empowerment. By combining digital innovation with inclusive finance, we can not only make farming more productive but also more resilient. Our collaboration with Guardian is about using tech to solve one of the most urgent challenges farmers face financial vulnerability.”

The signing ceremony was attended by key representatives from both organizations, including Amirul Mostafa Arefeen, Co-Founder & Executive Chairman of Agriventure; Avijit Ghosh, Manager of People Growth Strategy; Nafiza Kaniz Eren, Senior Executive – Inclusive Finance & Capital Growth; and from Guardian, Abdul Halim, EVP & Head of Micro, Digital Channel and ADC; Asif Bin Mujib, SAVP; Naushadul Karim Chowdhury, VP; Tanim Bulbul, AVP; along with Sharmin Akter Shawon and Antara Bhattacharjee, Business Relationship Managers from the same division.
