DHAKA : The British Council Partner Schools Teachers’ Recognition Award 2025 was held on October 26, 2025, at Le Meridien in Dhaka. This event aimed to bring together the dedicated schoolteachers who successfully completed the Yearly-Training Programme with the British Council, including both online and face-to-face modules on Special Educational Needs, Future Core Skills, Behaviour Management, and Effective Lesson Planning.
During the event, the British Council highlighted the impact of its training programme with partner schools, and how it has been beneficial to the teachers.
The event focused on recognising 141 teachers from 26 schools for their commitment to professional growth in Bangladesh with 115 teachers from 18 schools in Dhaka, 19 teachers from Chattogram and 7 teachers from Sylhet.
Maxim Raimann, Country Exams Director of the British Council in Bangladesh, said in his welcome remarks, “It is a proud moment for us to bring together more than 100 school teachers on this platform, which shows their commitment to professional development. We thank our partner schools for their continuous collaboration. We believe this platform is a testament to our partnership. Congratulations to the teachers on their achievements. We believe that these initiatives help teachers to be better equipped to prepare students in the future.”
Other highlights of the event included a speech by Talal Meer, Regional Business Director, English and Exams, South Asia, British Council followed by a presentation on the Success Story of the Yearly-Training Programme by Sana Shahid, Master Trainer, British Council Bangladesh. The event also highlighted the collaboration of this initiative through showcasing Shared Practices in Saudi Arabia by Srideep Mitra, Master Trainer, British Council KSA.
During the event, the school teachers who participated in the Yearly-Training Programme were awarded crests and certificates. Two awardees also shared a few words during the event regarding their training experience with the British Council.
Tahnee Yeasmin, Director of Business Development, closed the session with her remarks. Two more award ceremonies are set to take place in Chattogram and Sylhet on October 28, 2025 and November 8, 2025 respectively.
