The Intern Induction Day of United Medical College was held on 3 November 2025 at the auditorium of United International University, marking the successful completion of the MBBS course by its medical students. The ceremony celebrated the dedication and academic journey of the graduating class as they prepare to begin their professional careers, a press release said.

The event was graced by Hasan Mahmud Raja, Chief Advisor, United Group, as the Chief Guest. He shared that while United Group is a business organization, its ventures are guided by quality and social responsibility. This philosophy led to the establishment of hospitals and a medical college, ensuring that the people of Bangladesh have access to world-class healthcare and medical education without needing to go abroad.

Mohammad Faizur Rahman, Chief Executive Officer of the Healthcare Division, United Group, said that 80% of students passing the MBBS course is a significant achievement, setting a high benchmark for future batches. He added that it is now time to focus on further enhancing education quality and surpassing this benchmark.

The Special Guest, Prof. Dr. Md. Mostak Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Dhaka, highlighted the importance of ethical medical practice and patient-centered care as core responsibilities of every doctor, beyond academic knowledge.

Dr. Sheikh Mohiuddin, President of BPMCA and Executive Director of Ad-din Foundation, commended private medical colleges for developing skilled healthcare professionals and strengthening the national health system. He reminded graduates that true success lies not only in medical expertise but also in empathy, integrity, and service to the community.

Prof. Dr. A.Q.M. Mohsen, Chairman of United Medical College Hospital, emphasized that aspiring doctors should have mentors and follow the path of good doctors. Professional satisfaction comes when students develop themselves with the same dedication, compassion, and integrity as their role models.

The closing speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Wakil, Principal of United Medical College, who congratulated the graduates and urged them to approach their careers with integrity, compassion, and commitment to lifelong learning.

Faculty members, senior officials of United Healthcare, administrators, students, and their guardians attended the ceremony, creating a warm and celebratory atmosphere.
