A discussion and a reception program titled “The Role of the Media in Establishing Democracy and What We Can Do to Implement Human Rights and the Rule of Law” was organized by the Dhaka Divisional Committee of the National Human Rights Organization Law and Human Rights Society Bangladesh at the Dhaka Motijheel Metro Hotel and Chinese Restaurant Auditorium and a esteemed guest were present. The president of the program was Lion Shahidul Islam Khokon, Central Coordinator of Law and Human Rights Society Bangladesh and President of the Dhaka Divisional Committee and Joint Editor of the National Daily Agnishikha Patrika. He said that to establish democracy, the media must be given 100% freedom, then the rule of law and human rights will be implemented in the country, and when it benefits, justice will return to the people. In addition, the state should stop the torture of media workers and ensure their safety. Similarly, the state should ensure the safety of every citizen of the country in their lives and property.
