Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-12) has raided Ruhan Printing Press in Bogura, seizing counterfeit revenue stamps, fake cigarette packets, and printing equipment. The owner of the press, Milon, was arrested during the operation.

The raid took place Monday night at the press premises in Palsha Chowkir Par, following a tip-off.

According to RAB-12 officials, Ruhan Printing Press had long been involved in illegally printing and marketing fake government revenue stamps and counterfeit cigarette packets, enabling evasion of government revenue. The operation led to the seizure of illegal revenue stamps valued at around Tk8 crore.

Authorities also recovered printing plates, machinery, and a large quantity of fake cigarette packets from a hidden storeroom within the press. Milon was detained for producing the counterfeit stamps, and authorities are continuing efforts to apprehend others involved in the illegal operation.

This is the second major bust at this location. On June 19, a previous operation at the same press resulted in the arrest of four individuals and the seizure of fake revenue stamps and counterfeit cigarette packets worth over Tk1 crore.
