Air Astra, a renowned airline company, has partnered with Bengal Commercial Bank over paying VAT, Tax, and other government revenues using the Bank’s Automated Challan System. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) related to this initiative was signed between the two organizations on Wednesday, 10 December 2025 at the head office of the Bank in Gulshan, Dhaka, a press release said.
Tarik Morshed, Managing Director & CEO of Bengal Commercial Bank and Imran Asif, Chief Executive Officer of Air Astra signed the MOU on behalf of their respective organizations. K. M. Awlad Hossain, Additional Managing Director & CBO; Dr. Md Rafiqul Islam, DMD & CTO; Md. Humayun Kabir, FCS, DMD & Company Secretary; Istiak Uddin Ahmad, Manager of Corporate Branch and Md. Shafiul Asgar, Chief Financial Officer of Air Astra were also present along with High Officials from both organizations. Bengal Commercial Bank will deliver timely and contemporary banking services through this strategic partnership.
