Glenrich International School, Uttara celebrates an outstanding global achievement as seven of its students stood out globally by winning gold, silver, and bronze awards at the world’s oldest and most prestigious international writing competition, the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition (QCEC) 2025. This achievement highlights the students’ exceptional creativity and writing as well as the school’s unwavering support to empower its students.
This year, the competition achieved a historical milestone by receiving a record-breaking 53,434 entries from 54 Commonwealth countries.
Anna Tasnuva from grade 9, Areesha Ahmed Raaina from grade 10, and Md Farzan Ali from grade 11 each earned gold awards for their outstanding essays. Silver Awards were earned by Umaiza Shams of grade 6 and Kazi Afsan Rawnak Anan of grade 9, while Anzar Saifan and Md Faizan Ali, both from grade 7, brought home bronze awards.
The success of the students in this global stage reflects their hard work as well as the school’s dedication towards empowering its young learners to think, express, and lead.
