Dhaka: Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) has been awarded the Silver Award in the General Banking category at the 12th ICSB National Award for Corporate Governance Excellence, held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon, Dhaka, on December 15, 2025.
The award was received by Ali Reza Iftekhar, Managing Director of EBL, from Lutfey Siddiqi, Special Envoy on International Affairs to the Chief Adviser, at a gala ceremony attended by distinguished policymakers, regulators, and corporate leaders.
Expressing his appreciation, Ali Reza Iftekhar said, “This consistent recognition over more than a decade is deeply meaningful to us—not as a tally of awards, but as a reaffirmation of our values, discipline, and long-term commitment to transparency, accountability, and ethical leadership.”
Since the inception of the ICSB National Awards in 2013, EBL has earned a total of six Gold, four Silver, and two Bronze awards, underscoring its values-driven leadership and strong, disciplined corporate governance culture.
