Dhaka: Unilever Consumer Care Limited (UCL) has won the 12th ICSB National Award 2024 from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB), winning the Gold Award in fourth consecutive year is a testimony of their outstanding corporate governance practices, particularly in ensuring transparency and accountability in overall management. The recognition was conferred at the 12th ICSB National Award for Corporate Governance Excellence 2024, held today at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka.
The Honorable Adviser to the Ministry of Commerce, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Mr. Sk. Bashir Uddin, attended the event as the Chief Guest and Mr. Lutfey Siddiqi, Special Envoy on International Affairs to the Chief Adviser, as the Guest of Honour formally handed over the trophy and certificate to Mohammad Naharul Islam Molla, CEO & Managing Director, and S. O. M. Rashedul Quayum, Non-Executive Director, representing Unilever Consumer Care Limited.
The ceremony was also graced by. Among the Special Guests were Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur, Governor of Bangladesh Bank; Dr. Md. Khairuzzaman Mozumder, Secretary, Finance Division, Ministry of Finance; Mr. Mahbubur Rahman, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce; and Dr. Md. Sajjad Hossain Bhuiyan, Chairman of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC).
The ICSB Corporate Governance Excellence Awards follow a rigorous evaluation process, with participating companies assessed by independent technical committees and final selections approved by a distinguished Jury Board comprising eminent local and international representatives.
