On Saturday, at 9 pm, the curtain falls on the biggest event in the country’s housing sector, Rehab Fair. Being the last day, the crowd of buyers and visitors started increasing in the fair premises as the afternoon progressed, just like the previous day. The China-Maitree Conference Center in Agargaon was bustling with interested buyers with jobs and families. Many were seen making hasty decisions to book their preferred flats or plots just before the fair ended, a press release said.
At this year’s fair, buyers’ interest in projects based on divisional cities and new development areas, as well as the capital and surrounding areas, was noticeable. Comparatively affordable flats for middle-class and first-time homebuyers, long installment facilities and booking money discounts particularly attracted visitors. At the same time, there was a rush to find out information about plot projects, ready flats and under-construction flats.
On the afternoon of the last day, several stalls were more crowded. Many buyers come with their families and visit multiple projects, comparing location, price, handover time and bank loan facilities. Representatives of construction companies said that there is a tendency to make decisions on the last day, because buyers want to take advantage of the fair’s special discounts and exclusive offers at this time.
Companies participating in the fair said that this year the questions of buyers were more realistic than before. They were interested in the quality of the flat, handover time, DAP-related issues, parking, community facilities and future resale value. This shows that the number of conscious buyers in the market is increasing.
According to Rehab leaders, despite the recent challenges in the housing sector, the fair has built a bridge of trust between buyers and builders. The opportunity to check and select multiple companies under one roof has saved time and costs. Many people who came to the fair have come closer to making a decision with the necessary information, even if they did not book directly.
Even though the fair is over, the opportunities for buyers do not end here. Several companies participating in the fair will continue to offer fair offers and discounts in their respective offices for the next few days. As a result, those who could not make a decision on the last day due to the crowd, will have the opportunity to go directly to the developer’s office and discuss.
Overall, the Rehab Fair is not just a buying and selling platform, it is a reflection of the current state and future prospects of the housing sector. Although the fair ended at 9 pm tonight, the journey of finding one’s own address has begun anew for many buyers from here.
